This page describes how the platform works today, and we keep it current as the product changes. It is not legal advice.
Essential only, by default
This site loads no analytics, no beacon, no advertising script and no third-party tag until you accept them. Refusing is a real button with the same visual weight as accepting, and refusing means nothing is loaded rather than a banner that simply hides itself and carries on.
That is a deliberate design decision and it is checkable: with analytics refused, the network panel in your browser shows no request to an analytics domain at all.
What is stored without your consent
Two items, and both of them exist to remember a choice you made rather than to learn anything about you. Neither is sent anywhere.
- Your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again on every page. Storing this is the only way to honour a refusal.
- Your light or dark preference, so the site does not flash the wrong theme at you on the next page.
What is stored after you accept
Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, used to count visits and to see which pages are actually read. We use them to decide what to write next, not to identify you.
| What | Set by | Purpose | Roughly how long |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cookie choice | This site | Remembers that you accepted or refused, so we can honour it | 12 months |
| Theme preference | This site | Remembers light or dark | Until you clear site data |
| Analytics identifiers | Google Analytics | Counts visits and distinguishes one session from another | Up to 24 months |
Only the first two exist before you accept. The third is not written at all unless you do.
Changing your mind
The footer of every page carries a link that reopens the choice. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it, takes effect immediately, and removes the analytics cookies rather than merely stopping new ones.
Inside the product
The platform itself sets what it needs to keep you signed in and to hold your session. Those are strictly necessary: there is no version of a signed-in product that works without them, so they are not subject to a consent banner. It runs no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Because nothing loads before an explicit acceptance, a browser sending Do Not Track or a Global Privacy Control signal is already in the state those signals ask for. There is no separate mechanism to honour because there is nothing running to switch off.
