Ecommerce order management
Ecommerce order management for online stores
Ecommerce order management is how you see every order, what has been paid, what has shipped and what came back. ExecCortex E-commerce Management connects the Shopify, WooCommerce or Magento store you already run and mirrors its orders, returns and stock.
What ecommerce order management covers
Ecommerce order management is the work between a customer pressing buy and the order being closed: checking payment, sending the goods, answering where is my order, handling a return and spotting an order that looks wrong. Done inside a store’s own admin it works for one shop; across several it means many logins and no single view.
ExecCortex E-commerce Management does not host a storefront. It connects to the store you already run, Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento or your own over its own connection, and pulls your data in. Your customers keep shopping exactly where they do today.
Three statuses on every order
Every order carries three statuses that move independently. Order is where it is in your workflow. Payment is whether the money moved. Fulfilment is whether the goods moved. The rows worth finding are usually the disagreements: paid but not shipped, or shipped but not paid. The three filters combine, so paid plus unfulfilled gives you exactly the orders waiting to be sent.
Search matches order number, customer name, email and phone. The order drawer holds the items, the money, the addresses, the payment attempts and the full history, and the address bar carries the order so you can send a colleague straight to it. Cash on delivery orders show whether they were confirmed with the customer.
Multichannel order management, returns and risk
Connect more than one store and a picker appears in the header; your choice follows you between screens. Each store keeps its own orders, and totals are shown in the currency the store sells in.
Writing back
Changing a status here changes it in your shop too, unless you clear Also update this in your store. Sync activity shows whether your store accepted it.
Returns
Customers raise returns through your Self Service Portal. Work the Needs action filter, ask for more if something is missing, approve with a refund, store credit or exchange, and mark the goods received.
Risk checks
Every order gets a score out of 100, higher is riskier, from your rules, the network address, the device and cash on delivery history.
Messages and recovery
Order Messages for transactional messages, plus Recovery and Abandoned carts for people who left before paying.
How ecommerce order management works in ExecCortex
1.Connect your store
On Stores, pick your platform, follow the steps for the connection method and press Connect. Credentials are verified, encrypted and never shown back.
2.Wait for the first sync
Connecting queues a background sync. Screens fill in progressively, and new orders arrive by sync and webhook within a minute or two.
3.Choose how changes go back
On the store’s Writing tab, set the update control to always on, ask each time or never. A new store starts on ask each time.
4.Work the orders
Filter by order, payment and fulfilment status. Changing a status offers only the moves your store allows.
5.Handle returns and risk
Work Return Requests from Needs action, and clear held orders from the first tab of Risk checks.
Every screen is explained in detail in the E-commerce Management guide.
What it does not do
- It does not host a store or a checkout. Creating or deleting an order is done in your shop, and the change arrives on the next sync.
- It does not merge several stores into one order list. Each screen shows one store at a time, chosen in the header.
- You cannot raise a return on a customer’s behalf. Customers raise them through the return portal.
- AI suggestions on risk and returns are advice. They decide nothing and block nothing.
What it costs
Every workspace starts on the free plan, with no card required. Each app is then priced per workspace and switched on by itself, and capacity packs raise one limit at a time without moving you to a bigger plan. Prices below are read live from the platform.

Ecommerce order management: common questions
What is ecommerce order management?
It is the process and software for tracking orders from purchase to delivery, including payment, fulfilment, returns and fraud checks.
Does this replace my Shopify or WooCommerce store?
No. It connects to the store you already run and reads from it. Your customers keep shopping there.
Can I manage several stores?
Yes. Your plan sets how many stores you can connect, and a capacity pack raises it without changing plan.
Will changing a status here email my customer?
Possibly. The change is written back to your shop unless you cleared the update control, and your shop may send its own email.
Why is an order paid but unfulfilled?
Payment and fulfilment move independently on purpose. Those disagreements are usually the orders worth acting on first.
